A significant portion of this effort is driven by private institutions, with an estimated 377 private colleges receiving affiliation from the Punjab & AJK by Medical Faculty (PMF) to offer a diverse range of paramedical diploma courses. These institutions collectively offer more than approx. 50000 seats annually across various diploma courses. In addition to private institutions, the public sector also plays a crucial role in shaping the healthcare workforce. An estimated 52 public sector colleges in Punjab are currently affiliated with PMF, providing around 4,523 seats per year for diploma courses.
