From Classroom Learning to Hospital Practice; Connecting Training.

In a ceremony brimming with scholarly purpose & institutional resolve, Saint Marys College of Medical & Advance Studies (SMC) & Al-Raee Teaching Hospital formally executed a MoU on 25 April 2026; a commitment to academic medicine and readiness to mentor the next generation of Pakistan's workforce.

Al-Raee Teaching Hospital multi-speciality span orthoptics, radiology, internal medicine, paediatrics, cardiology, rehab, pathology & dental practice, making it an ideal environment for Allied Health

Representatives of both institutions gathered to formally exchange the signed MoU documents, their gestures symbolising far more than a procedural formality: they signalled a shared commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals for the realities of contemporary clinical practice. The agreement, negotiated over several months of dialogue between the faculties of both institutions, establishes Al-Raee Teaching Hospital as an affiliated clinical training site for students enrolled in Saint Mary's in Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences,

Nursing including Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programme and a range of Medical Diploma tracks spanning Medical and Allied Health Sciences. Under its terms, students will gain supervised multidisciplinary clinical observer-ship, and state of-the-art clinical and diagnostic facilities - bridging the persistent gap between classroom & Hospital Industry.

A LANDMARK MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNED IN MAY 2026 OPENS CLINICAL TRAINING PATHWAYS FOR BS-DPT-NURSING AND DIPLOMA STUDENTS ACROSS MEDICAL AND ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES - MARKING A NEW CHAPTER IN EVIDENCE-BASED, PATIENT- CENTRED EDUCATION.

BS-DPT students across ortho, neuro, paediatric, cardio, rehab , Pathology, Radiology & Dental units.

•  Practicum placements for students in DPT, MLT, RIT, OTT, and Nutrition wards.

• Supervised clinical internships for BS- DPT students.

• Collaborative research case-study publication initiatives

• Continuing Professional Development.

• Joint formative and summative assessment design aligned to Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council benchmarks.
